All of our members and staff work on a volunteer basis. No one receives a salary in Douglas Run/Walk for the Cure.

When we first conceived of the idea of this charity, we didn't really think of it as more than something almost informal and low-key.

But the first year's turnout, along with subsequent years, so overwhelmed us that we began realizing we needed to get organized. That's why we formed a committee. We gathered members not through any formal selection process, but simply people who, in this small community, had good reputations. The committee members are individuals who can be relied upon through their honesty and guidance as we grow and tend to what we feel is an important charity in this area.

Our 2011 committee members are--

Robert Benson
Veronica Bossack
Edward Gomez, DDS
Nicole Mariscal
Gabriel Robles
Ruben Teran
Lisa Watkins
