Linda Gomez is a Speech and Language Pathologist and is a nine-year cancer survivor. She was born and raised in Highland, IL and graduated from St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO and is a huge St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. 

She married Dr. Edward Gomez, moved to Douglas, AZ and raised four children; Lisa, Michelle, Nicole, and Edward.

The year she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she had a dream to build an organization that would be able to provide funding and grants to help her neighbors while they were in cancer treatment. She organized the first Douglas Run/Walk for the Cure in 2000 and has aided countless men and women in Douglas over the years. The one stipulation is that all of the funds are for Douglas residents.
