| I've been participating in the Run/Walk for the Cure since it started in November 2001. This has been a fun and exciting activity not only for me and my immediate family but for my extended family. It has become a way for us to start our Thanksgiving morning with exercise, good food, good friends and above all a wonderful cause. You see, all the money raised through fun raising and entry fees stays in Douglas and the Douglas residents directly receive the funds. I have personally referred cancer patients to Linda and she has always helped them to cover expenses incurred during treatment and their battle of this devastating disease. Thanks Linda for all you do for Douglas, we will continue to run and walk with you with the hope that one day we only run or walk for pleasure and not because one more person has been diagnosed with cancer! --Laura Necas, |
